Thermally toughened borosilicate safety glass should meet the requirements as described in the standard EN 13024-2, which is a harmonized standard under the Construction Products Regulation (EU) 305/2011.

Scope: This document covers the evaluation of conformity and the factory production control of flat thermally toughened borosilicate safety glass for use in buildings.

Products shall conform to the definition and fulfil the requirements of thermally toughened borosilicate safety glass as defined in EN 13024-1.

Note: For glass products with electrical wiring or connections for, e.g. alarm or heating purposes, other directives, e.g. Low Voltage Directive, may apply.
