Glass ceramics should meet the requirements as described in the standard EN 1748-2-2, which is a harmonized standard under the Construction Products Regulation (EU) 305/2011. 

Scope: This document covers the evaluation of conformity and the factory production control of glass ceramics for use in buildings.

Products shall conform to the definition and fulfil the requirements of glass ceramics as defined in EN 1748-2-1.

Note: For glass products with electrical wiring or connections for, e.g. alarm or heating purposes, other directives, e.g. Low Voltage Directive, may apply.
